Now that the summer blockbusters are disappearing from movie theaters and awards season is still months away, we are entering a grey area for the film industries. With no more Transformers or Harry Potter to go see, we are now forced to sit through Spy Kids 4: All the time in the world. I'm not taking anything away from the quality of movies out today because there are some movies that do look interesting, such as Contagion and Planet of the Apes. But when there are films like Shark Night, it almost insults the viewer because it makes them feel like they are too stupid to watch a more intense movie than just sharks killing people. Hopefully the film industry will release a movie similar to Saving Private Ryan or The Departed in the near future because I don't know how many more tacky movies I can spend 10 dollars to see.
